A tone preset changes the whole voice at once. When one particular line is wrong, override just that line. In the Locker experience editor, press Set custom copy to open the fields. Custom copy needs the Standard plan or above. Text you save on a lower plan is kept and starts being used once you upgrade.
There are seventeen fields, grouped by where they appear: three under Modal, eight under Map and six under Block, the panel next to your checkout button. That grouping matches the preview switcher, so you can watch the change land. With both carriers enabled, the fields whose wording has to stay carrier neutral drop out of the editor.
Every field has its own length limit, from 40 characters on a badge to 120 on the cart panel description. The editor stops you at it. The preset wording sits in the field as the placeholder, so you can see what you are replacing.
An empty field falls back to the preset wording. Clear custom copy drops all your overrides at once and returns the picker to the tone preset you chose.
Write for the shortest field first. If your wording does not fit in 40 characters, it will not read well in 90 either.
Custom copy applies as written. Selling in more than one language? Weigh a tone preset from Customise the pickup modal and map.
Your logo, colours and corner radius live in the same editor: Match the picker to your brand colours and logo.
