Every label carries a parcel size. Parcel size defaults to the medium option, so a run of small parcels will quietly go out as medium ones unless you change it. On labels printed through Apaczka the size also fixes the weight declared to the carrier: 5 kg small, 10 kg medium, 15 kg large.
Step 1: Learn the three InPost sizes
On an InPost shipment the options read A - small, max 8 x 38 x 64 cm, B - medium, max 19 x 38 x 64 cm and C - large, max 41 x 38 x 64 cm.
Step 2: Learn the ORLEN Paczka sizes
ORLEN Paczka names the same three tiers differently, and its compartments are 4 cm shorter: S - small, max 8 x 38 x 60 cm, M - medium, max 19 x 38 x 60 cm and L - large, max 41 x 38 x 60 cm. They map one to one onto the InPost tiers, so a B parcel is an M parcel on ORLEN.
Step 3: Measure the right dimension
Only the first number grows between the tiers: 8 cm, 19 cm, 41 cm. That is the height of the compartment. Once the other two sides fit inside 38 by 64 cm (38 by 60 cm on ORLEN), your size is decided by the smallest dimension of the parcel, laid flat. A wide flat box is small, a tall one is not.
Step 4: Set it before generating, not after
The size travels with the shipment, so changing your mind means producing the label again. In the bulk action, set the batch default at the top and override the rows that differ.
